What is the difference between running a campaign with and without Conversions?

When you run a campaign without optimizing for conversions, your campaign is created in Facebook with the objective of driving traffic to your website. This may sound good, but this almost always results in lots of clicks to your website without translating over to listeners or sales.

By setting up and using Conversions, your campaign is created in Facebook with the objective of driving sales (conversions).

In the case of running a campaign such as Increase Music Streams, click-throughs to a streaming service is the action you want people to take. When someone clicks-through to a streaming service from your Symphony music site, we send that data to Facebook as someone who took the action StreamingLinkClicked. As Facebook receives more data on this action, it will get a better understanding of who is taking the action you value and surface your ad to a more relevant audience, resulting in better performance.
