How to update your Facebook Ad Account Payment Threshold

You can increase or decrease your payment threshold from the billing section in Facebook Ads Manager

Symphony runs advertisements through your Facebook Ad Account, which includes campaigns on platforms like Instagram. The timing and frequency of your ad spend charges by Facebook are determined by your Ad Account's billing threshold. To manage your payments more effectively, it is suggested to set this threshold slightly above your anticipated monthly marketing spend.


โ€‹Here's how to update your billing threshold:

  1. Navigate to the Billing section in your Facebook Ad Account.

  2. Click on Payment Settings.

  3. Locate the Current Balance section. Below it or around it, you should see a section that says "When you'll pay", with a number and or a date below it

  4. Click on the pencil icon next to it and input your desired new payment threshold amount. We recommend setting your threshold slightly above your expected monthly spend. For instance, if you spend $100 a month on marketing, set the threshold at $150. This will result in a single, convenient monthly billing.

  5. Save your changes by clicking 'Save'.

Please note, lowering your threshold takes effect immediately. However, increasing the threshold may require time for the changes to take effect. This is because the system needs to successfully charge your account at your existing threshold a few times before approving an increase.
