How to request partner access to Meta assets through your Meta Business Manager

Updated over a week ago

Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to gain access to the relevant Meta accounts and assets as a partner, so your team can run ad campaigns on their behalf.

Ad Account

If you want to work with an ad account that you don't own, you need to request access to it. To request access to an ad account in Business Manager:

  1. In the sidebar menu, go to Accounts. Then click Ad accounts.

  2. Click the Add dropdown menu.

  3. Select Request access to an ad account.

  4. Enter the ad account ID.

  5. Choose Full control as the level of access.

  6. Click Confirm to send the request. You can access and use the ad account once your request is approved.

As an alternative, if the ad account is in a business manager, you can contact someone with full control of the business manager to request that they share access with your business manager. Ask them to go to the Ad accounts tab in the Business Settings, click Assign Partner, and enter your business ID. Learn more about how to find your business ID.

Assign People

Once your Business Manager has access to the ad account, you will need to assign individual people within your Business Manager to the ad account in order to use it. To assign people:

Within the business settings in the Facebook Business Manager (must be admin), click Ad accounts. You will be able to select your ad account from the middle, and then click Add people from the right hand side.

A screen will pop up for you to select which people you would like to grant access to. Once you select the person you'd like to add, make sure you also select Manage ad accounts. If these are both done, then you can click Assign.
