How to find your UPC / ISRC

To create a pre-save, you'll need the UPC, ISRC, or Spotify URI for your release. Here's where you can find them.

1. Ask your distributor

The easiest way is to contact your distributor (e.g. DistroKid, UnitedMasters, TuneCore, etc) - they are responsible for getting your music onto streaming platforms, and should be able to send you the Spotify URL, UPC, or ISRC for you release.

You can ask your distributor to provide any of the following formats for your music - we accept them in any of these formats to complete your Pre-Save:

  • Spotify URL

  • Spotify URI

  • UPC

  • ISRC

We recommend reaching out to your distributor sooner rather than later, so you can have the link in hand and ready to go to setup a pre-save.

2. Check in the Spotify for Artists “Upcoming”

If you login to Spotify for Artists, you should be able to pull the Spotify URI from there, which is accepted in place of the UPC or ISRC.

  • Go to the “Music” tab

  • Select “Upcoming” under the “Music” tab

  • Your latest release should be listed under there

  • Click on the button that says “Copy URI” to get the Spotify URI for your song

  • You can use this during the Symphony Pre-save workflow to get things setup

If you do not see your release under the “Upcoming” tab, it may still be processing at your distributor - wait 24 hours, and try again to see if it’s been uploaded to Spotify.
